Job Description:

Product Manager

The WEX Health Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. The Product Manager works closely with the application development team to ensure that new features meet or exceed market needs and to define key business and technical requirements. The Product Manager will also work closely with sales, marketing, and business partners to understand the direction of the market and ensure our product is market leading.

Key Responsibilities include:


  • Partnering with stakeholders and customers to identify pain points and opportunities, and establish solutions to address those opportunities


  • Owning the product roadmap


  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in order to define the business opportunities and best possible solution.


  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog by defining what the team should build, why and when


  • Delivering value to end users


  • Transforming a complex requirement into actionable user stories that allow an agile development team to deliver valuable features and functionality each sprint


  • Determining improvements to product features


  • Slicing a product vision into small, actionable, and iterative phases to bring a product to market.


  • Communicating product statuses to both internal and external stakeholders


Qualifications:


  • Understanding of healthcare, health plans and/or financial industry


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • Experience in gathering, prioritizing, and documenting key business and technical requirements


  • Knowledge of the system development lifecycle, particularly the Agile development methodology


  • Demonstrated ability to deal with complex challenges independently and collaboratively with team members


  • Familiar with common web and e-commerce concepts, tools and technologies and knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the software


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent education and experience in software product development and/or, product management


  • 3-5 years of product development or management experience


This job may be performed remotely within the United States, except that it is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
