Lead Contracts Specialist - $2,000 Sign-on Bonus at II-VI Aerospace & Defense

Job Description:

Limited time: $2,000 incentive, for continued employment with II-VI A&D, subject to the terms described.


  • $500 paid at 30 days of service completed
  • $500 paid at 60 days of service completed
  • $1000 paid at 90 days of service completed

You must be employed on the dates specified to receive payment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Provide contract management support through-out the lifecycle of a program, including contract negotiation strategy, execution, internal/external audits, compliance and close-out activities. Utilize experience to achieve company goals and mitigate risk, within the guidelines allowed by federal regulations and our corporate office, engaging legal counsel as needed. Demonstrate a focus on internal and external customer service at all times by fully understanding program goals and risks, and applying this knowledge to support balanced negotiations.

Education & Experience


  • Minimum of 7 years related work experience
  • DAWIA Level 2 or equivalent work experience
  • BA or BS required / Masters preferred

Skills

  • Ability to assist in the collection, organization, analysis, and/or preparation of materials in response to RFQ/RFP/RFI/ROMs using in-depth knowledge of FAR/DFAR terms and their applicability
  • Understand compliance regulations, including, but not limited to CAS, EVM, CMMC, and ITAR, and their pertinence to contractual thresholds and mandatory flow-down requirements
  • Experience in negotiating terms, costs, and contract requirements in proposals to obtain contract awards
  • Demonstrated ability to provide support and collaboration with the development, implementation, analysis, and documentation of contractual and compliance policies
  • Knowledge of contract administration and record-keeping and reporting for the life cycle of a contract
  • Experience with problem analysis and resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
  • Ability to recommend and implement improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software)
