About this Opportunity

As a Receiver working at Nemschoff, you'll maintain inventory accuracy, review material issues, inspect incoming material, and maintain balancing material receipts. You will receive items delivered to the plant and receive inbound materials and prepare outbound materials, as well as deliver issued material to shop floor customers. You'll problem-solve with the assistance of other team members and seek continuous improvement. All of your activities will be performed and completed with a high regard for the safety of others and yourself. You may also learn additional functions by cross-training in other departments as needed.

  • Accurately pull and issue product to order as schedule requires.

  • Follow Nemschoff's standard quality guidelines for all products.

  • Follow recycling procedures for the proper disposal of items.

  • Follow the requirements of good documentation practices when handling quality records or controlled documents.

  • Inspect incoming material as required.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy using various systems.

  • Receive inbound materials and prepare outbound materials as needed.

  • Work in a team environment.

  • Work overtime as needed for production needs.

  • Work with a safety-oriented mind set.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Practice good inventory control practices and consolidate FIFO (first in first out).

  • Receive items delivered to Receiving, including outside materials and in-house materials.

  • Recognize flawed or damaged components to determine compatibility between components and properly report problems to supervisors.

  • Review material issues and maintain balancing material receipts.

  • Support shop floor customer needs in a timely manner.

  • Use good housekeeping skills (racks).

  • Utilize Lean manufacturing principles as trained or directed.

  • A high school diploma or GED.

  • A valid driver's license.

  • The ability to obtain a Stand Up Fork Lift Certification.

  • Previous experience with hand trucks.

  • Previous computer experience (preferred).

  • ERP/RF Gun EMS experience (preferred).

  • The ability to work in a team environment.

  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to work well with minimal supervision.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • The ability to be reliable and dependable.

  • The ability to read and understand safety data sheets when using chemicals.

  • The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
