Your Responsibilities

As a Material Replenishment Specialist at John Deere Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL, you willdevelop and maintain the replenishment strategies for material at the product line and factory levels. This includes working within the SAP MRP system to systematically deliver parts to the production line on time, to the correct using location and in the correct packaging. You will work cross functionally with Operations, Engineering and Supply Management resources to identify and resolve material availability issues.In addition, you will:


  • Analyze replenishment strategies to improve part presentation and efficiencies to the production line while minimizing inventory and material handling costs.
  • Develop and execute material flow strategies to ensure material availability and to meet unit goals.
  • Work with OFP manufacturing engineers on work center design to support material replenishment and OFP Supply Management to align supplier replenishment processes.
  • Manage and execute systematic changes of factory projects such as PDP to OFP transitions and line rate changes to ensure repeatable replenishment plans are in place to support future production.
  • Support Continuous Improvement process (CI) changes so part availability to the production line supports design changes and product improvements in a timely manner.
  • Support factory changes in continuous improvement process, Kaizen events, MLCR process and material flow processes to improve replenishment methods.

What Skills You Need


  • 2 or more years of experience in Material Flow,factory operations, Manufacturing Engineering or Supply Management
  • Strong ability to analyze data and determine the root cause
  • Strong knowledge of SAP (IM/WM, Production Planning, Materials Management)
  • Experience with Deere Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Just- in- Time, Kanban and/orDemand Flow Technology
  • Experience with Material Flow and SAP replenishment processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation and conflict resolution

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Demonstrated ability to develop and improve internal processes
  • Experience with Data Management tools such as Power BI
  • Experience leading process changes on the unit level or equivalent project management experience
  • Experience in factory shop floor operations and inUAW union environment

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business/Management, Engineering/Technology or Supply Management discipline
