Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and provide direction on proposal solutions and narrative with input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)


  • Attend proposal-related customer interface meetings and generate any necessary materials or slides for required presentations


  • Assign tasks to the appropriate technical representative within the matrixed organization; follow up on assigned tasks to ensure adherence to proposal internal and delivery milestones


  • Ensure all SA requirements in proposal submissions are compliant with customer specifications


  • Ensure traceability is maintained on all baseline and updated SA documentation on SA department processes, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with established Quality Management System (QMS)


  • Continually regenerate incremental/disruptive innovations to increase strategic business development opportunities


  • Support continual improvement in SA by designing and improving learning tools and processes


  • Document and present tool and methodology ideas to the CAE innovation community


  • Develop, prioritize, and meet deliverable budget, schedule, and scope milestones


  • Conduct peer reviews to verify production in accordance with established quality standards


  • Collaborate with capture manager and proposal manager regarding SA team-assigned proposal solutions and narrative


  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Education Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Finance, Psychology, related field or a combination of education and related experience.


  • Minimum of (2) two years professional experience managing/developing solutions for US Government proposals


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications


  • Experience successfully leading teams in a dynamic environment


  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and breakdown complex, high-tech systems


  • Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision


  • Results-oriented, innovative and creative


  • Strong organizational skills and business acumen


Communication Skills


  • Must demonstrate excellent written communication (including technical writing), verbal communication (including presentations), and interpersonal skills.


  • Must demonstrate excellent decision making and negotiation skills


Mathematical Skills

  • Must be able to interpret and analyze data and statistics and to apply concepts of basic calculations.

Reasoning Ability


  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


  • Must demonstrate the ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication


  • Must demonstrate the ability to apply principles of logical, scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.


  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, such as prices, commissions, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs


Preferred Skills


  • Prior experience in designing/producing aviation related training products desired


  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MoS), or higher, certification in 2016 Excel and Word desired


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project highly desired


Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

  • Must be able to access actual aircraft environment or synthetic training devices on occasion.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


  • Must have the ability to travel and work overtime as necessary.


  • Must be able to sit and operate a personal computer for long periods
