Product Development Specialist
LOCATION:Columbus,OH
DEPARTMENT: Sales
REPORTS TO: VP Product Development
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Product Development Specialist is to provide support to the VP Pricing and Product Development through effective communication and working with multiple business units to ensure successful expansion of marketplace offerings to drive the business to FlightSafety
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
Represent sales and marketing requirements in product development discussions between multiple business units
Coordinate efforts between business units to efficiently plan and execute a business project such as stand up a new aircraft program. Business projects may include but not limited to: new simulators, upgrades, relocation and shutdown of simulators.
Assist VP Product & Development with strategy building for new product launches, continuous improvement of current products, and maintenance of existing products for the primary goal of expanding marketplace offerings that drive additional business to FSI
Work with Communications Sales Operations Specialist and Sales Enablement Specialists to effectively assist with the education of the sales team for developments of new programs and tools such as Fact Sheets and Marketing Information Sheets
Be proficient in all FSI systems such as CRM, Scheduling System, SAP, Enterprise Analytics
Be proficient in all FSI offerings, products, and sales process.
Travel domestically to support company initiatives.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5+ years related sales or aviation experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read and write
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills including, MS Office suite.
General knowledge working with a business accounting system, ex SAP
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner
Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations
Knowledge of management principles and their applications
Able to work unsupervised, as needed
