We are seeking a System Administrator to perform a variety of system functions, which are broad in nature, to include, but not limited to, configuring, monitoring, requesting, and updating software. Lead hardware related tasks, such as upgrade and maintain storage, perform weekly back-ups, and recover systems when necessary. Develop and maintain authority to operate (ATO) documents using Xacta360 and provide requirement recommendations. Provide attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and in-depth knowledge of computer systems.

Top Secret Responsibilities


  • Interface with senior leadership as well as vendors and businesses specializing in advanced data management solutions.
  • Perform full system upgrades and repairs (Unix, Linux, and Windows).
  • Troubleshoot and repair operating system (OS) and hardware issues.
  • Perform daily and weekly system backups and recovery.
  • Maintain a log of system problems, errors, failures, and downtime metrics.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory lists.
  • Troubleshoot network issues.
  • Install software releases and upgrades on Linux and Windows.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all software issues.
  • Train customer on proper usage of software.
  • Set up, test, and maintain workstations software and hardware.
  • Set up and maintain samba mounts for windows.
  • Manage all software licensing information.
  • Evaluate and install security patches (IAVAs).
  • Create and ensure operation of Active Directory and DNS.
  • Administer Apache configurations.
  • Create accounts and set up user specific access.
  • Ensure customer log on
  • Maintain group policies and procedures.
  • Update/create tables, fields, relationships, and indexes.
  • Set up and ensure operation of mount scripts for windows.
  • Acquire system accreditations and update documentation in Xacta360.
  • Conduct audit and log reviews.
  • Ensure personnel comply with system security policies.
  • Install, configure, monitor, and update software.
  • Perform weekly system back-ups and recover system from back-ups.
  • Assist in mirroring systems on differing classification levels.
Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience within systems administration with both government and commercial experience
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases like Oracle and SQL Server
  • Experience in designing, development, and testing of production ready reports
  • Experience in implementing logical and physical data modeling concepts
  • Knowledge of the LINUX operating system


  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS) or cloud architecture
