Quality Engineer Associate

YOUR ROLE
Executes hazard communication for all products in applicable SBU and region, incl preparation of Safety Data Sheets and labels data Identifies, determines applicability and timely communication of potential impact of new raw material on intermediates, finished products
Monitors, communicates and executes implementation of regulation changes
Registers new chemical substances, monitors global chemical inventory status, substance volume tracking and associated testing requirements
Participates in meetings and provides necessary support towards completing the PSRA check list
Maintains a thorough knowledge of products, chemistries and processes Leads regional and global product safety and regulatory affairs projects to simplify, harmonize and streamline processes and procedures
Provides training to customer support functions in order to facilitate timely responses to basic customer inquiries at the local level
Ensures continuing familiarity with all of the latest applicable regulations and toxicological information
Works on assigned projects which involve quality problem solving, data generation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
This position also involves interfaces with Customer, Procurement, Contract Manufacturing, and Package Engineering
Ensures the problem-solving effort has effective containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, validation, control and prevent recurrence of customer and supplier complaints when identified as processor in Henkel's
Customer Complaint Management System (CCMS) in SAP
Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal Henkel personnel to aid in the resolution of complaints using the customer's format when required
Participate in projects to improve key quality metrics, i.e.: Customer complaints
Review New Part Release forms
Complete PPAPs (New & Annuals)
Create and update production part process manuals
Create and update Quality Visual Aid (QVA)
Work closely with pilot and all other supporting departments to insure a successful launch.
Assist with the deployment of Quality Initiatives
Establish, follow, and improve quality policies, procedures, instructions, and methods.
Understand the Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)
Update customer portals with PPAP and/or CCMS information.
Program and scan parts as needed on the Faro Arm/CMM Machine
Lessons Learned
Must understand and follow all initiatives and processes for OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 regulations, procedures, and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities. Is involved with Customer Visits
Must be willing to travel (3-5%)
YOUR SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience in manufacturing environment with quality; automotive industry
Experience in SAP preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and the ability to effectively manage time.
Skilled in Microsoft Office suite.
