Arconic is currently in search of Oracle ERP Architecture Manager to join our Enterprise IT Infrastructure Team in Pittsburgh, PA

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for Arconic Oracle R12 EBS ERP, Oracle Data Warehouse, and Hyperion financial systems platforms and architecture. One of the key functions of the role is to provide oversight and escalation of the above noted application platforms for the Arconic business units. The successful candidate will lead support efforts related to the current environment. As required by the business this position will develop, deploy, and maintain new systems and changes to the existing system. All of this will be done in accordance with Arconic standards.


  • Design, develop and implement both proactive and reactive monitoring mechanisms to...

    • identify and resolve potential problems before they adversely affect the business.
    • resolve issues that occur to root cause.
    • maintain world class availability of IT assets.

  • Work with customer focused vision to understand technological gaps/barriers; address them with robust cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs.
  • This role is responsible for understanding and mitigating the risk that all changes to the existing environment pose. They should be able to communicate those risks to the appropriate stake holders and propose strategies for mitigating those risks
  • Oracle ERP technical implementation architecture and configuration options
  • Experience with recent releases of Oracle ERP and associated technical tools
  • Common integration points between Oracle ERP modules
  • Common integration points with external systems
  • Integration Broker
  • Testing strategies for Oracle ERP customizations and interfaces
  • Oracle ERP technical upgrades and future upgrade strategies.

Key Objectives

  • Maintain in-depth awareness of current Oracle technologies and development activities to assist in development of forward technical vision.
  • Create / modify and store architectural artifacts for new projects wherever necessary for future reuse and leadership review, etc.
  • Work with an extensive network of third-party vendors or partners of products and services for evaluating the best services to enhance the customer experience and create services and products that add value to the IT infrastructure.
  • Establish team priorities and sets standards to achieve derived enterprise goals. Track and evaluate performance of team members.
  • Maintain an off-shore and on-shore model of human resources for development.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Oracle Apps Technical Stack with strong solutioning, design and cevelopment experience in Oracle EBS R12, integration and archtecture
  • Knowledge of governance and change management procedures in an IT environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively is a necessity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive consensus and absorb and present complex ideas in a succinct and accurate manner.
  • Should have strong English communication and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in Design and architecture review.
  • Experience in software development life cycle.
  • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Problem solving with strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 7 years' minimum experience in equivelent role.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Large project management experience and demonstrated understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge/experience in Oracle ERP technical architecture and related integrations systems.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion suite of EPM modules a plus particularly with a focus on HFM, Essbase, and planning
  • Knowledge of Oracle Data Warehouse architecture and tool sets
  • Knowledge of Oracle DBMS and associated technical architecture
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system
  • Experience directing large diverse teams and managing large projects.
