Reports to Director. Performs diagnostic procedures according to departmental policy and procedures and physician order. Educates patients on procedure. Documents patient care data appropriately. Cleans and maintains diagnostic equipment as required.

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or Equivalent. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of job-related experience is required. Diagnostic Tech I for 2 years is preferred. Performs proficiently in at least 4 of the 6 diagnostic testing areas.
Knowledge & Skills
EKG/Stress - Cardiology background.
Must understand lead placement.
Be able to identify abnormal EKG patterns.
Must have reassuring and attentive personality characteristics.
Physiology - must have strong cardiac background.
Must have complete understanding of cardiac anatomy, pressures, normal and abnormal EKG rhythms.
Must be able to focus on duties in spite of distractions and pressure.
Keyboard skills are essential.
Reassuring/quiet personality required.
The staff member must also be able to work and elicit appropriate responses from a wide variety of patients.
The employee must be able to quickly analyze large volumes of data accurately.
Must be able to relay information to physicians.
Working Conditions
