Kiddie Academy of Abingdon has an IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY for a patient, flexible and nurturing person to join us at our corporate Academy as a Part-Time Floater Teacher to cover afternoon and early evening hours. You’ll use your caring attitude, creative nature and excellent communication and collaboration skills in the classroom. Among your responsibilities will be:

• Providing general classroom supervision, which includes the personal care, hygiene and positive guidance for the children.


• Preparing and implementing activities for children that stress physical, social and emotional growth.


• Providing materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in active play.

• 1 year minimum early childhood education work experience 




• 45 Hour Infant Toddler and/or 90 Hour Preschool Certifications preferred




• Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state of Maryland and local regulatory agencies




• Must pass a background to qualify for employment




• Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high and pass a medical exam/physical
