The Analytics Team is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team in San Antonio, TX. The primary objective of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to perform research and financial analysis to deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate for this role should be detail oriented, organized, and have a strong willingness to learn.

Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to the following)

• Identify areas where data can be used to improve business activities


• Organize, analyze, and execute all phases of research projects


• Use internal and external sources to procure data needed for analysis


• Extract business insights from data to identify root causes


• Create concise data visualizations and/or presentations to summarize key insights


• Update, modify, and create financial models

 

Key Qualifications

Required:

• BA/BS in a field that demonstrates competency for the role (i.e. computer science, finance, math, statistics, etc.), or equivalent work experience.


• 3+ years of professional work experience

• Strong proficiency using spreadsheets, including advanced functions (INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, etc.)


• Organized, analytical and detail-oriented

• Comfortable with ambiguity and using the web for data gathering


• Strong willingness to learn

 

 

Preferred:  

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and architecture (data warehouses, data lakes, etc.)


• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Microsoft Power BI


• Experience with SQL and/or Python
