We are looking for our next Night Child Care Assistant!

The night shift covers the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m

Core Responsibilities:

• 
  Encourages and models appropriate interactions and behaviors: 
  
  
  • Assists with emotional outbursts associated with abuse and trauma, including behaviors such as aggression, defiance, and self- harm. 
  
  
  
  


• 
  Ensures health & safety:
  
  
  
  • Creates a positive, therapeutic, and safe environment which allows children to begin to heal and learn new strategies for a successful return to the community.  
  
  
  • Maintains required documentation. Records the events of the shift in the "Night Monitor log" every 15 minutes or as requested.
  
  
  • Ensures the safety and welfare of children during their sleeping hours by remaining alert, aware, and prepared to respond to any problems or emergencies that may occur.
  
  
  
  

Requirements:

• The Night Child Care Assistant requires a high school diploma and some experience with special needs populations.
