The IT Manager is responsible for articulating and executing the systems strategy for Corporate and Intercompany Accounting and for supporting and enhancing those systems.  Key systems supported include off-the-shelf and SaaS software for managing fixed assets, lease accounting, and calculating royalties and custom-built solutions for capital appropriation requests, global inventory reporting, Profit in Inventory Elimination (PIE), and working capital.  Success is achieved by working collaboratively with Corporate and Intercompany Accounting business/functional partners and a global IT team comprised of both internal and external team members.  The role reports to the Associate Director – Corporate Finance Applications but works independently and collaboratively to support and continuously improve the Corporate and Intercompany Accounting systems and business processes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Collaborates with Corporate and Intercompany Accounting leadership to continually review and refine the systems strategy that enables the Corporate and Intercompany Accounting organization to be as effective and optimized as possible

  • Collaborates with Financial Shared Services process leads to identify, qualify/quantify, and prioritize tactical solutions to address business needs and improve business effectiveness

  • Captures business requirements and initiates new IT projects and enhancements based on those requirements

  • Leads/Manages projects of small to medium complexity from ideation through all phases of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) – initiation, planning, execution, and closing

  • Directs and provides straight line and dotted line leadership to a global team of both internal and external team members to support and enhance Corporate and Intercompany Accounting systems

  • Establishes priorities/goals, provides timely and meaningful performance feedback, and facilitates career development for internal team members

  • Provides input to and oversight for the Corporate and Intercompany Accounting scope of the Corporate Finance Applications budget

  • As needed, develops techno-functional expertise on Corporate and Intercompany Accounting systems and performs analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and/or support activities for those systems.  This is a hands-on role with Business Analyst responsibilities.

  • Applies principles, concepts and practices of IT Service Management (ITSM), PMLC, and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected

Education/Experience Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, or related field with at least 7 years of combined IT and/or Finance experience; OR Bachelor’s with Master’s degree and at least 6 years of combined IT and/or Finance experience 




  • At least 3 years of experience working with Corporate Accounting and/or Intercompany Accounting applications in either an IT or Finance capacity 




  • At least 3 years of experience utilizing formal ITSM and SDLC processes and tools in an IT role 




  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing formal PMLC processes to deliver projects 




  • Experience with Varicent ICM, Sage FAS, or SAP BW/HANA data warehouse applications preferred




  • Technical, Accounting/Finance, and/or Project Management certifications preferred



  • Experience supporting and delivering IT solutions for Corporate Accounting and/or Intercompany Accounting

  • Experience integrating data and/or transactions between applications

  • Experience preparing business requirements and techno-functional design documentation

  • Experience preparing and executing test scripts

  • Experience as a team leader/manager

  • Experience delivering projects on time, on budget, and with quality

  • Experience with ITSM, PMLC, and SDLC concepts and practices
