SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with about 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is seeking a full time Library Technician to work in Washington, DC on weekdays.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a clean background extending back more than 7 years plus 2 or more years of prior experience as a Library Technician for a military, state government or federal library.
There is an hourly base rate plus a Health & Welfare (H&W) amount that is applied to each hour of straight time. These rates are as follows:
$17.04 per hour plus $4.23 Health and Welfare.
Typical library maintenance functions to include basic circulation and collection management tasks (shelf-reading, re-shelving, stack maintenance, inventorying, cleaning/dusting, etc.)
Digitizing, filing and organizing documents
Inputting data and/or metadata into library systems, databases, and other documents
Reproducing, collating, transcribing, and reviewing relevant documents
Developing and designing document templates
Compiling information in support of reference requests, publications, or historical products
Assisting with Library Branch information technology and equipment
Editing written documents and digital files
Office coverage, task management, and follow-up of phone calls, meetings, email requests, and various other forms of correspondence.
Other library collection maintenance-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the SJS Program Manager/Supervisor.
Two (2) or more full years of prior career experience providing library paraprofessional support for a military, state government or federal government library.
Possess and maintain a minimum personnel clearance level of National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI).
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test plus a background check that extends past 7 years to enable access into federal buildings and issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC) for government computer and network access.
