Job Description:

This leader will be responsible for developing and leading the Category Analytics team for Martech products. He/She will design and develop an overarching Category sales development strategy in partnership with the VP of Category Development including growth targets by category by product. This leader will also lead the design and development of key category insights that will be the fuel for the selling stories into the target CPG companies on behalf of the Inmar MarTech team.

Leadership 30%  


  • Serve as the leader of Inmar’s Category Analytics team, developing team members, building and refining category specific and marketing tactic specific growth targets and execution plans 


  • Collaborate with Category Development and Sales teams to provide thought leadership and a marketplace view at the national level to ensure that marketing and sales strategy is developed and executed based on accurate insights and assumptions


  • Create enabling capabilities that can support Inmar sellers as they transition from data deliverers to fact-based sellers


  • Builds team members, recruits additional analytics talent, inspires team members 


 Analytics Expertise 50%


  • High level of independent analytical skills.  Examines data to grasp issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems. Proven skills in Innovative and creative problem solving and business growth initiatives.


  • Serve as an analytics expert representative at crucial sales meetings and industry events


  • Leverages Significant CPG and Grocery retailer analytics experience 


  • Understands how to develop customer specific category growth strategies.


  • Deep Knowledge of Sales Fundamentals of Pricing, Promotion, Assortment, and Merchandising.


  • Significant Knowledge of CPG and Retail Commercial Planning process 


  • Proficiency in analytical tools including SQL, R, Python and Various BI visualization tools.


  • Proficiency in understanding data models, and be able to access data directly


  • Desires to build own insights and build and collaborate with team members who will build insights


Strategic 20%


  • Develop and implement selling strategies and tools utilizing first, second and third-party data sources


  • Aid in the preparation and modifications of quantitative value propositions on Inmar's suite of MarTech and FinTech products, as well as the post-event analytics that document the value that Inmar’s solutions have helped create


Required Qualification:


  • Bachelor's Degree required in business, marketing or analytics related discipline


  • Preferred: Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters in Business Analytics


  • 8+ Years of work experience and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the position's primary responsibilities/essential functions.


  • Proficiency in the use of Google products, Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Tableau


  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, R, and SQL


  • Ability to perform detailed work with qualitative and quantitative data sets that produce actionable insights
