Job Description
Cognosante supports the US Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Management Information System in Elizabeth City, NC. They assist the client in creating technical documents to be used by Operations Personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document.
  Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.


• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.


• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Works under immediate supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.


• Experience developing and providing technical and end-user documents on technical services, computer hardware and application software preferred.

Required Qualifications

• The Candidate must possess the minimum Education / Qualifications:


• Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or Associates Degree (A.A./A.S.) in a related field or at minimum Information Technology (IT) Certification.


• Candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.


• Candidate must possess strong oral communication and written comprehension capabilities.

Candidates that do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.


• 3+ years as a Technical Writer.
