Job Summary
Apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• Read worker logs, product processing sheets, or specification sheets to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.
• Observe worker using equipment to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards.
• Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
• Prepare charts, graphs, or diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, or machine utilization.
• Study time, motion, methods, or speed involved in maintenance, production, or other operations to establish standard production rate or improve efficiency.
• Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
• CAD / CAM experience
• Interpret customer specifications and Industry specifications
• Facilitate APQP and PPAP
• Fixture design / selection
• Tooling selection / design
• Process selection / design
• Assist production team through new product introduction
• Capital project management
• Facilities layout and design

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (BA) from 4 year college or university;
• one to two years related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
