Job Description:

Materials Coordinator needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Material Handler position. The position is located in Columbus, OH.

This position is contingent upon award of work. This position is temporary for a special project and is not eligible for benefits.

Entry level position assigned to support all routine aspects of material receiving, kitting, warehousing and shipping. Responsible for safe, efficient and organized inbound/outbound freight with a focus on the adherence to applicable Battelle policy and state, federal and international regulations.

* Compile sample testing kits for supply of remote testing.

* Performs routine unloading, sorting and packing of incoming materials (mail, supplies, etc.).

* Stocks material in appropriate locations.

* Kits job orders and delivers to locations as directed.

* Performs routine inventory cycle counts and inventory counts.

* Prepares products for shipping and performs routine shipping of products to clients.

* Unloads, sorts, receipts, and processes incoming and classified mail. Unloads, receipts, and issues non-priority air, FedEx/UPS, motor freight, and local deliveries.

* Performs desktop delivery of all inbound freight, with prompt forwarding to Accounts Payable.

Qualifications

* One year of related experience.

* Good oral and written communication skills.

* Basic computer skills including MS Windows and Office.

* Ability to operate pallet jacks.

* Attention to detail.

* Ability to work overtime.

* May requires knowledge and certification of air and ground transportation regulations, hazardous materials, and radioactive safety procedures.

* May require ability to continuously bend, lift, and transport up to 40 pounds during the work shift.

* May require ability to stand and walk up to 75% of the work shift.
