Establish and implement distribution strategies, plans and objectives consistent with overall business strategies.
Drive success in meeting established goals for on time shipping, customer order compliance, inventory accuracy and distribution cost per pair.
Ensure continuous improvement through proactive leadership and development of direct reports.
Achieve the maximum level of productivity, ensuring the business benefits from the lowest cost and order turnaround time.
Ensure structure and measures are in place to monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
Establish, execute and maintain capital and operating budgets.
Provide direction to managers and supervisors for anticipating staffing requirements according to changing business needs.
Establish, maintain and verify that health and safety procedures are in place and enforced.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, CTPAT and FTZ.
Coordinate and allocate activities among separate distribution facilities, as appropriate.
Partner closely with key leaders and staff in other functions including Sales, Customer Service, Returns and Transportation.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree is required in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related fields.
7-10 years in the distribution industry.
5 years supervisory or managerial experience.
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
Strong negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage operating and capital budgets.
Experience using warehouse management systems
Valid Driver's License
Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to fifty pounds (50 lbs.).
