ENGIE North America Inc.

The Cash Application Analyst II facilitates cash postings, analysis, and remediation of cash applications for all cash receipts, ensuring accurate and timely application to customers' account. In this role the Cash Applications Analyst acts as a liaison to the Collections team and reconciles daily cash postings and researches discrepancies to ensure proper resolution.

This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor and will sit in Woodmere, New York.


What you'll do:


  • Timely and accurately cash matching in Engie's ERP system

  • Reconcile daily cash match posting to bank account and analyze and research all unapplied cash receipts

  • Act as the liaison with the Collections team for the proper application of cash receipts

  • Analyze accounts that are billed via Utility Consolidated Billing (UCB), ensuring that the correct cash amounts are remitted by the utility

  • Research all discrepancies between the utilities' cash receipt submission and UCB customers' outstanding balance and contact utilities for resolution

  • Track and report on all in transit UCB cash receipts

  • Provide daily status update to Supervisor

  • Make recommendations to Supervisor on process improvements that streamline the cash application activity

  • Participate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives

  • Acts as a team member with all ENGIE staff

  • Comply with all ENGIE policies and procedures and carry out other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What you bring:


  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Business

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

  • Mathematically inclined

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical ability with attention to detail, and goal oriented

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy

  • Self-motivated without assistance from Supervisor

  • Proficient with standard office software packages

  • Meet the highest attendance requirement
