Our Role:

PPC’s Performance Management and Reporting Team, located in Newark NJ, is seeking a bright, organized, and motivated leader to head the Performance Management Group. This team is primarily responsible for coordinating the calculation and reporting processes for PGIM’s private placement portfolio including portfolio management and total return reporting, track record preparation, IRR support, and enterprise assets under management. The proven leader will work independently on both structured responsibilities and project work and will liaise with senior investment leaders across PPC and will own all aspects of the activities involved.  In addition, a proven technology mindset and capability is required as this person will play a lead role in an important initiative to develop the new performance management platform for PPC.  The ability to analyze results is critical and a working knowledge of valuation private investments, and related analytics associated with performance and valuation, is important.
 

Your Impact:


  • Team Leader for all performance and related reporting functions.

  • Day to day responsibility for the calculation and reporting of investment returns across the private portfolio. Modified Dietz, IRRs. Total Return, etc.

  • Cross functional team member on PPC’s data enhancements team.

  • Track record development and maintenance.

  • Accountability for controls and accuracy.

  • Portfolio Manager and Client Reporting Team support.

  • Lead contact point with Investment teams on performance calculations, results, attribution, and marketing materials.

  • Business Analysis lead for systems used for these functions and lead role in systems replacement and enhancement projects.

  • Cross functional project team member to assess functional integration across portfolios where desired.

  • Industry resource knowledge of compliance / SEC guidance for performance calculations and reporting.

  • Assess and develop cash flow tracking mechanisms across various portfolios in support of the performance process.

  • Support of investor reporting, including Prudential’s general account and PPC’s 3rd party clients and funds.


  • Point of contact for internal and external audits, SOX, and EUC related issues

  • Lead and develop staff

  • Review and verify reports completed by staff members prior to distribution and, at times, prepare some of the more complex data reports.

  • Analyze current processes to find efficiencies

  • Lead special projects, initiatives and ad-hoc report and analysis requests

  • Support new business initiatives

Your Required Skills:


  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree. Preferred majors include Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Business.

  • 15+ years of financial reporting and analysis experience.

  • Working knowledge of fixed income securities.  Private Placements a plus.  Valuation a plus.

  • Industry knowledge of investment performance calculations and requirements.
