The Systems Support Administrator - Level 1 is a critical member of the Advanced Group IT team. As a member of the IT Support team, you will provide technical maintenance of the hybrid on-prem and cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities expand to support our internal and remote clients with entry-level support requests. Resolve basic to intermediate support cases with the Microsoft Enterprise infrastructure, providing exceptional support to clients via phone, email, and on-site.

Responsibilities

    Complete basic to advanced support cases, articulating technical findings and documenting all steps taken to problem resolution
  • Analyze, administer and troubleshoot a wide variety of IT solutions

  • Act as an escalation point for advanced or difficult help requests

  • Cooperating and supporting colleagues and interacting with other support groups

  • Interface with Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, Windows Server environments, Office 365, Azure and network infrastructure to setup and troubleshoot client issues

  • Visit local and remote sites to provide IT network and desktop deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting services

  • Create/review documentation, knowledge base articles and new tools/utilities

  • Maintain proficiency in key technology areas through intentional, ongoing technical learning

  • Maintaining corporate security and regulatory compliance standards

Qualifications


  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant work experience

  • Minimum 1 year previous experience in end user support environment

  • Proven knowledge of Windows 10

  • Entry-level experience with Office 365

  • Server experience: Windows Server 2012, 2016

  • Demonstrated understanding of Windows Server and networking principles: permissions, domain architecture, server virtualization, DNS, DHCP

  • A strong commitment to personal ethics

  • A passion for learning new skills and to grow in your career

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create organized and informative reports, as well as comprehensive, accurate documentation

  • Must be able to travel to provide on-site support to both Chicago Loop and Deerfield, IL offices

  • A history of working independently of close supervision and a demonstrated capacity to manage time effectively
