Job Description:

Job Duties:


  • Prepares journal entries for certain general ledger accounts; prepares all transactions in accordance with GAAP and IBC policies; performs work in accordance with company deadlines

  • Analyzes and reconciles accounts and performs inquiries to reconcile variances, e.g. general ledger balances vs. subsidiary ledgers.  Addresses reconciliation with collaborative research and can make account related decisions with decisions

  • Actively participates in the completion of the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including journal entries, research, analysis, etc.  

  • Assists in providing responses to all questions and requests for information as it relates to certain general ledger accounts

  • Assists with special projects

  • Understands and can effectively communicate with respect to the activity recorded in assigned general ledger accounts; performs and appropriately documents analytical analyses on a monthly basis.

  • Assists with updating process and controls documentation for the functional area, and assists with updating key controls for Model Audit Rule (MAR) purposes.

  • Assists with the preparation of data and information to Audit (Internal and External) as required for certain general ledger accounts

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience

    • 4+ years of progressively more responsible experience in accounting required

    • Working knowledge of US GAAP and specific practices/procedures associated with certain general ledger accounts

    • Working knowledge of supporting technologies (i.e. PeopleSoft) and large ERP systems o Working knowledge in Microsoft Office tools (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point) and working knowledge of other tools (i.e. MS Access)

    • Good written and oral communication skills.
