NP/PA - Family Medicine - 100% FTE, Day - Odana Clinic at University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation

Job Description:

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:


  • Manage chronic health conditions in a primary care clinic.

  • Perform annual physical exams and manage the health maintenance needs of our family medicine population.

  • Care for the acute and chronic needs of patients from newborn to elderly.

  • Perform telemedicine (video and telephone) visits.

  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently including wart removal, paps smears, IUD removal, IUD/Nexplanon placement and skin lesion removals.

Education:

If Nurse Practitioner:

Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program

If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program

Work Experience:

Preferred – Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner*:


  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND

  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Psychiatric-Mental Health.

If Physician Assistant*:


  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND

  • Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

*Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.

Physical Requirements:

Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE. Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
