We are currently looking for Injection Molding Process Technician to work as part of our team in New Brighton, MN on 3rd Shift.

What will you be responsible for?

• Ensure presses are started and running to standard process and trouble shoot those not up to standards


• Trouble shoot molding machines to bring parts into specifications for size, appearance, flash, splay, cycle time, etc.


• Develop and maintain standard operator instructions and process set-up sheets


• Help develop all mold operators


• Be able to process a variety of engineering type materials


• Participate in developing action plans to resolve problems with safety, quality, production, delivery and 5S


• Prepare maintenance work orders and ensure compliance with Preventive Maintenance programs


• Document improvements and problems with molds, presses, secondary, etc.


• Be capable and willing to perform all duties associated with changing injection molds (material set up, mold change, set process, and inspect parts for quality adherence)


• Actively participate in the 5S program


• Perform other duties as required

What are we looking for?

• Have a 2 year Technical College degree and/or 5-7 years' experience in plastic processing of molding machines


• Demonstrate good oral and written communication


• Have strong plastic processing skills


• Be computer literate and have basic management skills


• Be a strong problem-solver


• Have strong organizational skills

Pentair is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Injection Molding Process Technician to join our Operations Department in New Brighton, MN. In this role, Injection Molding Process Technician will be responsible operating injection molding machine to cast products from thermoplastic materials. This individual will observe and maintain correct programs, process parameters, and examine finished products for defects.

Position hours/shift:

Availability for overtime.

• 3rd: 10PM - 6 AM

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds, and with help occasionally up to 100 pounds. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.
