Arcosa Traffic Structures is searching for a Senior Control Process Operator for our Fort Pierce, Fl. plant.  The Control Process Operator sets up and operates machines, and may use blueprints, make adjustments for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas. The Operator works with oversize and awkward sized materials that may require specialized handling.


Location: Fort Pierce, FL


What you’ll do:



  • Set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically heats, mills, cuts, forms, drills, broaches, or reams metal, or processed material parts

  • Troubleshoot equipment and make basic adjustments

  • Perform operator level maintenance (visual inspections and routine items)

  • Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequence

What you’ll need:



  • Minimum of 3 year of experience

  • Ability to proficiently read blueprints and verify dimensional requirements

  • Ability to operate CNC/PLC equipment (Carlton Drill Press; Oxy-fuel cutting; Plasma cutting; CNC machining center/drills, presses, mills, Angle clipper, and saws, Excalibur machines)

Working Conditions:



  • Ability to maintain good attendance and be reliable


  • Must be able to work in excess of 40hrs a week and overtime

  • Hourly full-time position


  • Work environment included plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds

  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
