Primary Function of Position:

Reporting to the Vice President, US Marketing and Customer Analytics will be part of the US Marketing team. This role will be responsible for leading regional marketing operations and end of end content management in close collaboration with global and regional teams, implementing operations communication processes and timelines for product, clinical, hospital, academic and market access marketing.

The team will be responsible for establishing a regular planning process to align creative content and communication priorities, with marketing needs and budgets to secure the resources needed to deliver and will establish scalable processes and approaches to best-in-class marketing communication practices that can be implemented regionally to drive efficiency, improve quality, lower development costs, and quantify impact.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a main point of contact between Regional marketing, Corporate marketing operations and the Global brand and creative business units for all US content and communication projects.
  • Oversee all aspects of US marketing content and communication planning including metrics, and KPI reporting
  • Responsible for on-time and on-budget project delivery
  • Maintain messaging, claims, brand consistency across US communication platforms, including print, video, web, automation and multimedia channels
  • Prioritize and manage numerous projects and tasks using project tracking systems and databases to help maintain high quality (timelines & budget) collaboration within the US Marketing teams and global creative team, approved content, files and descriptions.
  • Initiate, monitor and influence the progress of Legal, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs approvals
  • Build, manage, and lead a high performing marketing team of 2+ team members, embracing the Intuitive culture and employee professional development process.
  • Lead a team responsible for the coordinating logistics for production and delivery of promotional materials for scheduled events; manage production within budget, working with key vendors through a purchase order system.
  • Lead a team responsible for the workflow of content from 3rd party agencies through the approval process.
  • Lead a team responsible for surgeon advisory board communications, planning, logistics, and follow-up, as well as other key customer engagement events and VIP communications
  • Conceptualize the purpose, tone, voice and precedence of the US marketing messaging and communication

Required Experience:

  • Minimum10 yr years' experience in Marketing, Operations and/or Communications, preferably in the medical device field and/or with agencies
  • Minimum Master's degree, preferably in Journalism, Marketing, Linguistic, Communications -- or equivalent work experience
  • Prior Leadership and direct management experience

Required Skills:

  • This position requires exceptional written and verbal skills in English.
  • Experience in a marketing operations and communication role is strongly preferred. This experience should be with an in-house or independent advertising agency producing print communications, video and websites. Experience, interest in and aptitude for multimedia is a must.

  • Self-starter with ability to edit and update Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and HTML files; work in content management systems, document control systems.

  • This position requires an aptitude for and interest in editing and providing quality control feedback to project and content owners. The ideal candidate would be skilled in editing technical/promotional documentation on surgical/medical procedures.

  • Customer-service orientation, superior organization and project management skills are critical to success in this role. The ideal candidate can show a successful track record of influencing peers, management, and vendors to achieve measurable results; strong emotional intelligence, reflecting the capacity to identify, assess and direct the emotions of oneself and groups.
  • A deep understanding of the principles of strong business communications, marketing communications and experience in applying strategic objectives to influence both creative and production.
  • Familiarity with document control and manufacturing systems. Skilled in budget management, financial accountability and purchasing. Familiarity with production cost structures and the ability to assess and work within budgets is a key qualification.
