This position will be located in Budd Lake NJ at Keysight's Power Products Division. Located just 25 minutes from PA and 45 minutes from New York City this site is primarily devoted to the design, manufacture, and marketing of Keysight's power supply solutions. These products range from ultra-low noise linear supplies used to validate the integrity of products sold into the wireless market, to 15KW switching supplies, AC sources, 20kW regenerative power solutions, electronic loads, and solar array simulators.

Our mechanical engineers focus on sheet metal and plastic electronic packaging design and testing. This includes transportation analysis, shock, vibration, drop, and stress analysis. As strong understanding of basic electrical engineering concepts as it relates to power dissipation in semiconductor and passive components is helpful.

In this position, you will work with a mentor on hardware-based designs for new Keysight programmable power supplies. You will regularly use some of the most advanced measurement and simulation tools available while learning from our experienced staff members.

Currently enrolled in school for MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar area of study.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and skill set in 3D modeling, FE analysis for stress and thermal evaluation, strength of materials, construction of 2D drawings, thermal simulation and analysis.

• Familiarity with CAD or modeling software
