Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Understands and responds to internal guests needs. Communicates in a friendly, respectful and understandable manner. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Uses outlined service behaviors when encountering guests. Meets expected service delivery times as defined by department's service standards or as required by receiver of service or goods. Is a team player, cooperates with employees within the department as well as other departments. Speaks positively about the company, co-workers and guests.

Responsible for the daily processing requirement in one or more assigned Human Resources function (Personnel Administration, Licensing/Records, Employment). Enhances the new hire applicant experience by creating a fun, high-energy environment. Greets and pre-screens applicants, schedules interviews , answers phone calls and performs routine clerical duties as assigned. Responsible for all inputting of Employment information into database to ensure proper maintenance of applicant files. Responsible for processing all applicant testing tools. Must have a thorough understanding of personnel requisitions, drug testing information, employee badging, new hire paperwork, personnel authorization forms (transfers, promotions, hires, terminations), as well as the AS400 or related systems for tracking applicant and employee data. Processes new hires in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures. Ensures that all newly hired, transferred or promoted employees are appropriately licensed pursuant to N.J.A.C. 19:41-1, and that the restricted list is checked for each employee transaction in accordance with departmental procedure. Accepts, reviews for accuracy and submits to the Casino Control Commission initial and renewal employee license submissions and petitions. Responsible for compiling statistics and producing needed reports as required. Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers via telephone and e-mail, using interactive skills at all times. Supplies information to other departments as assigned. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to take initiative to problem-solve. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize daily workflow. Ensures adherence to policy and procedure. Interacts with customers in a polite and professional manner. Organizes work, inputs data, types, enrolls and assists personnel in various programs, may interact with outside suppliers and vendors as directed, files. May process billings and requisitions as directed.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma required. Some college preferred. Prior experience in Human Resources preferred. Excellent communication, organization, administrative, research and problem-solving skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Must be pleasant, neat and poised. Good communication (verbal and written), ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workflow.
