Key Responsibilities 

• Able to operate CNC Lathe Machine with appropriate guidance/supervision


• Make offsets with appropriate guidance/supervision


• Gain knowledge of setup sheets


• Ability to identify correct inserts per setup sheet with appropriate guidance/supervision


• Gain an understanding of insert descriptions and their classifications


• Gain capability of knowing and understanding when to change an insert


• Gain the ability to decide if shimming is required 


• Ability to shim with appropriate guidance/supervision


• Gain an understanding of pipe grade


• Ability to read the steps on the connections (making adjustments to eliminate step on thread) with appropriate guidance/supervision


• Lean-to complete basic setup (existing connections, offsets, same tools, chuck jaws, handling equipment)


• Learn how to input all data into In-Touch


• Ability to change inserts and continue to produce good parts with appropriate guidance/supervision


• Understand all other shop functions (saw, swage, stress, end finish, quality)


• Ability to perform all PM'S/CCL's on Lathe and Conveyor/Threading Tables with appropriate guidance/supervision

Requirements 

• Ability to read, write and speak well in English.


• Ability to understand and execute instructions well.


• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Minimum of one year experience as a CNC Operator and/or technical degree/certificate in machining from a high school, technical school, or college


• Ability to read blueprints, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.


• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds and push/pull up to 75 pounds.
