Job Description

Candidate will support the development and analysis of several advanced air and missile defense simulation systems. The candidate will execute the missile defense simulation suite and then utilize their aerospace, physics, and/or prior missile defense expertise to analyze performance, troubleshoot issues or optimize performance. The engineer needs a broad understanding of advanced air and missile defense system of systems; a broad understanding of radars/sensors is also desired. The engineer will coordinate and communicate across working groups and teams to develop concepts and features. The engineer must be willing and able to dive deep into the existing codebase to analyze system behavior with the intent of making system improvements, identify potential issues and analyze performance.

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or other STEM degree from an ABET accredited school.

* Proficiency with C/C++ or Java.

* Proficient in developing software and tools with Python.

* 2- 5years of industry experience. A master's degree can be substituted for 2 years of experience.

* Experience with Linux and MS Windows environments.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Understanding of Agile software development processes.

* Candidate must have ability to present extremely complex issues in ways that are understandable by industry and government management.

* Proficiency with Atlassian products is desired: JIRA, Confluence.

* Proficiency with source code management tools (GIT).

* Candidate must be comfortable working in a multi-contractor/government seamless environment.

* Travel may be required for this position.

* Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
