Treasure Valley Family YMCA is hiring a Youth Experience and Innovation Director to support programming, training, and environmental upgrades within our Youth Activity Centers, Kid Zones, and Day Camps. In addition, this position will work to solidify partnership and program plans to expand the initiative to serve youth inside and outside the YMCA facilities through housing insecurity programming and food insecurity and nutrition programming.

Responsibilities:

Work with branch Youth Leadership to create curriculum and program development to support academic success and behavior health of drop-in and sign up programing that are consistent with approved Leading Practices.
Supervise staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, coaching, scheduling, and on-going development.
Collaborate with branch Youth Leadership to supply and enhance youth program areas.
Develop programs for youth in partnership with local food pantries.
Support branch leadership with formal training in developing youth staff across branch facilities.
Create strategies to grow and retain youth in all program areas of the Y.
Create strategies to grow and retain youth program participants in housing and food insecurity initiatives.
Work with other departments to ensure all applicable grant reporting is accurate and complete.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience.
Background in program development preferred.
Background must include strong skills in human relations, budgeting and fiscal management, financial development health and well-being management, and staff and volunteer management.
Must be able to meet YMCA transportation requirements.


Physical Demands:

Continuous: standing in place, sitting and walking, wearing a cloth mask
Frequently: ascending/descending stairs
Occasionally: kneeling, crouching, bending at the waist, twisting, squatting, crawling, balancing, driving
Rarely: lifting up to 50 lbs.
