The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a talented Recruitment Manager! It's an exciting time to join the resort with a recently completed $200M renovation project and additional renovation projects underway.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 700 rooms ( to include cottages and villas ), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets.

A Recruitment Manager is expected to Manage Talent Acquisition activities to meet property's staffing guidelines in compliance with Hilton recruiting standards, immigration, ADA, and EEOC guidelines. Manages hotel's Affirmative Action Plan goals. Assists in the interviewing and staffing procedures training.

Manages all recruiting initiatives for the hotel. Sources top talent with the use of social media and networking. Participates in external recruiting events and develops ongoing relationships with community agencies to ensure constant flow of qualified job candidates and to ensure rapid position replacement. Oversees and administers all international and national recruiting initiatives, referral programs and turnover analysis/exit interview data. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

What will I be doing?

  • Recruits for all open positions.
  • Develops and maintains recruiting sou r ces by using internet resources, attending job fairs, inviting agency representatives to the hotel, and participa t ing in local agency and school advisory boards and events.
  • Coordinates internships and externships with local schools.
  • Monitors job posting and job hotline systems to ensure they are administered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Performs initial screening interview with qualified candidates to assess individual's experience, ability and interest in an availab l e position.
  • Refers qualified candidates for further interview and consults with department managers as to status of interviewed candidates. Ensures that all paperwork such as applicant disposition is completed properly.
  • Ensures EEOC and AAP guidelines are met.
  • Maintains current staffing guidelines by ad m inistering requisition tracking system.
  • Maintains current job descriptions and ensures compliance with ADA.
  • Ensures managers with interviewing responsibility are trained in intervi e wing techniques in accordance with the law. Directs managers in interviewing techniques us i ng methods such as verbal presentations and written directions to ensure the h i ring and retention of qualified employees.
  • Oversees the process of paperwork for all new hires and personnel changes.
  • Provides professional support and advice on recruitment to managers and advises managers on best practice recruitment and selection.
  • Oversees new team members on the completion of necessary paperwork, pre- employment processes such as drug testing, background checks, employment verification process, and WOTC.
  • Manages budget of recruiting materials for job fairs, online postings, and drug tests. Assists in or prepares periodic reports rel a ted to the Human Resources function such as labor turnover, EEO, through the use of mode r ately complex computer system and written reports. Maintains Affirmative Action documentation such as applicant flow, requisitions, employment applications, di s positions and job postings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Human Resources.
  • Conducts salary surveys.
  • Attends management meetings and training programs as required
