Introduction: As the Program Manager, you are the key person responsible for delivery of the internal activities on time, on budget, and achieving cost targets. This role has high visibility and is expected to drive the various teams - both internal and external to deliver products and services agreed upon by the portfolio manager. This position is responsible for creating and executing against an "integrated project plan", proactively mitigating risks and managing the development and support lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Own the "integrated project plan" and ensure execution on schedule
Develop and maintain the master plan and schedule for multiple product releases. Drive the creation of the Integrated Project Plan (IPP). The IPP includes all key deliverables from all functional areas and establishes all key project checkpoints.
Drive the cross-functional team to meet IPP commitments. The Program Manager ensures all team dependencies are satisfied on a timely basis. Ensure change management is implemented when required.
Identify risks and mitigation plans to project schedule commitments. Manage risk and escalations needed to resolve issues to achieve commitments.
Maintain program records and ensure completeness of all deliverables (stored in IPF's) in compliance with PMF process.
Manage program budget and achieve cost targets to meet the IPP documented plan
Understand the program's DE, L2, L3 budget and drive efficiencies via resource & capability assessment.
Understand SG&A budgets (e.g. marketing / sales / portfolio / education) that apply directly to the program; ensure clarity and visibility to these budgets in the business case and IPP.
Understand supplier contracts; ensure clarity and visibility while working with procurement.
Life cycle management
The Program Manager is expected to lead the cross functional team to help close customer unique opportunities and resolving customer requests.
Oversee post-product support, quality and supply issues, customer transition plans, and EOL planning.
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience delivering technology-related services or products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent risk and change management skills.
Dynamic and effective virtual meeting facilitation skills through phone and internet.
Experience working in a global, cross-functional, collaborative environment.
Bachelor's degree in a technology, operations, or business-related field.
Preferred Skills:
PMI or equivalent certification.
People management experience
