As a Cloud Consulting Architect, you will function as the technical lead for ePlus for targeted Modern Data Center and Public Cloud solution sets. You will be a key contributor in the pre-sales and solutions delivery process, leading and guiding the identification of customers' needs, and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions from concept to implementation. The Cloud Consulting Architect role is about "ownership" from ideation, to delivery, to Day 2 operations of complex Enterprise service delivery with a focus on providing value and driving customer success.

Job Responsibilities:
The Cloud Consulting Architect will be responsible for understanding complex business IT needs for ePlus's largest customers who are rapidly modernizing. You will be managing research, design, solution development and partnering with delivery resources. Experience and skill in in a technical or business leadership role is a must as well as cloud solutions experience with leading public cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Traditional data center technologies as well as modern day application architectures is highly recommended. Knowledge of Agile Methodology as well as modern professional services delivery is required.
Collaborate with Account Executives to prioritize, strategize, plan and qualify opportunities, as well as create and deliver professional solution and technology insight presentations to clients.
Support Account Executives during the pre-sales process for growing sales, margin and market share.
Support, train, and enable Project Managers in agile service delivery with a focus on managing risks, decisions, and driving outcomes.
Establish a trusted advisor relationship with clients. Gain an appropriate understanding of the client needs, while continuing to uncover additional opportunities.
As needed by the Account Executive, design the ideal technical solutions for the client. When appropriate, create bill of materials, supporting business case materials, RFP responses, and statements of work for any services to be delivered. Proven ability to mitigate both design and implementation risks.
Participate in the planning, designing, and building of new service offerings including on-premises infrastructure, network security, business continuity, disaster recovery, managed services and public/private/hybrid cloud offerings.
Strive to maintain expert level knowledge in all technology offerings while specializing and maintaining certifications in those areas identified as critical for the role's specialization. The role will also be responsible to maintain an expert level of knowledge on competitor offerings to best communicate technical differentiation. Complete training, education and certification as assigned.
Perform exceptionally and to completion when delivering on billable engagements including on-premises infrastructure implementations, cloud migrations and expansions, managed services, ticket resolutions, disaster recovery implementations, security implementations, assessments, solution designs and other services as required.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and experience required. Must be able to adjust style to match the audience whether internal, client technical or client executive. Proven experience articulating technical viewpoints to diverse audiences, including technical and business decision makers. High EQ sought.

Education and Experience:
10+ years of hands-on experience in IT
At least 6-8 years of experience working as an enterprise level consultant or architect responsible for leading complex enterprise solution deployments
High level of comfort with delivering C-Level presentations and displaying expert domain knowledge on using public cloud for delivering business outcomes
High level of comfort building HLD documents in your area of expertise
Proven project delivery specific to AWS or Microsoft Azure Platform preferred
High level of comfort of project estimation and scoping experience
High level of comfort performing white boarding sessions and PowerPoint presentations
Consulting experience required within Enterprise sectors
Experience with Data Modernization concepts such as Big Data, Data engineering, AI/ML, technologies a plus
Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time. May have to exert or lift up to 10-20 pounds of force occasionally.
