Responsible for performing advanced reproductive technology procedures for the treatment of fertility patients.
Position Description:
Perform advanced reproductive technology procedures, including in vitro fertilization, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, and preparation for embryo transfers.
Perform cryopreservation procedures for the short and long-term storage of patient specimens. This includes conducting an annual inventory of the storage specimens and assisting when necessary in storage billing procedures.
Maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the laboratory director along with the governing bodies that provide the licenses and standards for the clinical laboratory.
Ability to carry out laboratory responsibilities and duties while on-call, which includes weekends and holidays.
Assist with on-going academic research when necessary.
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Biology-related field.
Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Highly skilled use of Microsoft Office products (Exchange, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.), project management tools, databases, system technology and databases
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to follow protocols and function well under pressure
Must be proficient at identifying and organizing necessary tasks
Must be able to function as a member of the laboratory team and able to complete work with limited oversight
