TK Elevator is looking for an experienced Supervisor CE Mod & Components-CSC-Electrical to join our world class team in Germantown, TN.

The primary function of this position is to ensure the team has the tools, training, headcount, and standard work needed to hit their safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. This position owns the mdi portion of the SQDC board and owns driving daily problem solving. This position does not work in the schedule unless complex designs or excess workload deem it necessary.

Essential duties and responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coach team members of the value-stream.

  • Communicates business strategies so that all team members understand their contribution to the plan.

  • Conduct mid-year and yearly evaluations.

  • Audits standard work within the team.

  • Supervises all assigned engineers workloads to insure on-time delivery metric is hit.

  • Owns ODM. Presents MDI numbers daily and drives the problem solving of daily issues.

  • Completes ADP updates and approvals by regular deadlines.

  • Drive your team to identify and resolve problems during the change management process.

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Manage and lead advanced design projects.

  • Read sales documents and specifications to fully understand the systems required for the components being used.

  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software/equipment to perform assignments.

  • Generate designs per abstracts, layouts and approved established or customized design drawings.

  • Assess, plan and produce documentation for Modernization, Hydraulic and traction elevators.

  • Update designs per abstracts, layouts and approved established or customized design drawings.

  • Think creatively to find unique solutions to product application issues with moderate complexity.

  • Efficiently design jobs of moderate difficulty.

  • Perform mid year and year end performance reviews

  • Works with PDC engineering team on complex designs and new product offerings

  • Identifies gaps in product offerings and works with management to determine needed solutions

Who we are looking for

  • Three years of supervisory/management experience preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Electrical Engineering.

  • Requires good understanding of the elevator industry and our products.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand extremely complex verbal and/or written instructions.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand data processing applications.

  • Demonstrated strength in statistical analysis and technical writing a plus.

  • Possess the ability to read, interpret and comprehend and organize technical drawings, specifications and procedure manuals is required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) required.

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.

  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.

  • Possess ability to work with all levels within the organization, as well as customers and vendors.

  • Demonstrated team leading, problem solving and project management skills.

  • Lean or six-sigma experience preferred

  • Possess strong leadership skills including ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Must have excellent ability to analyze and organize daily activities to support the organization in a timely and efficient manner
