The Architect Advisor role will support the Digital Provider Platform team. The ideal candidate should have a desire to innovate and provide technology strategy roadmaps, direction and guidance. In this role, you will build and provide the architecture direction on the Digital Healthcare Professional platforms with a range of cutting-edge technologies. This role will require deep Data and systems integration knowledge of Cigna's systems, with hands-on development experience with databases, cloud data technologies and flow, as well as an ability to understand the broader enterprise vision and process to align solutions across the entire experience.

This role is WFH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build Technology roadmaps which are modern, scalable, highly available on-premises and cloud platforms.
  
  


• Lead analysis of systems integration and data need for various domains within the Digital provider platform.
  
  


• Provide guidance to development teams on architecture framework, patterns, best practices, approved technologies, tools and solutions
  
  


• Influence communication effort to ensure that application leaders are fully knowledgeable of new systems integration patterns, tools and solutions and impact to their organizations
  
  


• Plan, drive and deliver innovative, reusable solutions for Cigna US Commercial and Health Services
  
  


• Assess vendor products and support build versus buy decisions to ensure strategic alignment to the tools and technologies
  
  

Required Experience / Qualifications:

• MUST BE A CURRENT CONTRACTOR WITH CIGNA, EXPRESS SCRIPTS OR EVERNORTH. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna corporation.
  
  


• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or relevant field
  
  


• 5+ years of architecting and building all facets of large scale, modular platforms
  
  


• 7+ years of hands-on experience in the following areas:
  
  
  
  • Working closely with business leaders, product owners to help design and facilitate architecture discussions based on requirements
    
    
  
  
  • Designing, setting standards for the development teams for the proposed solution and implementation.
    
    
  
  
  • Experience with using system architect tool.
    
    
  
  
  • Understand database technologies and have hands on experience in designing Systems with No SQL and RDS databases.
    
    
  
  
  
  


• 3+ years of designing streaming technologies using Kafka, Kafka Connect
