Your Responsibilities

As an Assembly Quality Engineer , youwill be responsible for tactical support of the assembly operation at Seeding Moline. This position is the first response to safety, quality, and production line issues, isinvolved in CI200 projectsand is a core part of the business unit team responsible for the basic metrics and performance of the operation. In addition, you will:


  • Support daily operations by responding to tactical safety, qualityand efficiency issues while supporting/leading performance improvements for the business unit team
  • Lead/own the ongoing management of dynamic production quality control plan (inspection checklists in JDAAT, inspector work content and expectations, control plan steps in MES/JDAAT manufacturing processes)
  • Support/lead engineering projects to improve quality through QNote/data analysis, dynamic control plan execution via JDAAT, CI200 projects andwarranty data analysis
  • Support the Factory Engineering organization through key initiatives focused on Smart- Connected Factory and Technology/analytics capabilities

What Skills You Need


  • An effective communicatorwho thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment
  • 1 or more years of experience supporting production/factory floor operations in an union environment
  • 1 or more years of experience working with continuous improvement (CI) processes
  • Working knowledge of basic assembly tooling and equipment
  • 1 or moreyears of experience working directly with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or Process Control Tool (e.g.JDAAT)
  • 1 or moreyears of experience usingmanufacturing information systems (e.g.SAP, W- Planner/MPPlanner, 3-D modeling)
  • 1 or moreyears of experience with formal Non- Conformance Corrective Action (NCCA) processes
  • Must be able and willing to work variable shifts to support the production schedule

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement projects and initiatives
  • Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Work experience involving the hands- on use of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, DPAR, PPAP, DMAIC, Six Sigmaand 8D Problem Solving
  • Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques (e.g. pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts and control plans)
  • JDAAT Admin/authoring experience
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.)

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or 5 years of equivalent work experience
