Your Responsibilities

As an Employee Relations/HR Representative for Seeding-Valley City located in Valley City, ND, you will...


  • Serve as an advocate for our production employees
  • Be responsible for tasks related to the Employee Relations/Human Resources functions, includingSTD, payroll, processes, policies, benefits, etc.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner, consultant and advisor to business leadership and all employees on HR- related matters
  • Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within JDF
  • Engage in individual and group consulting to managers and employees on talent related topics

What Skills You Need


  • 1 or more years of experience counseling others on talent related policies and processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate , and work with, various levels of leadership
  • Experience leading group conversations with both prepared and unexpected content
  • High level of personal integrity and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters
  • Experience operating as an inclusive employee that is aware of, and embraces , diversity of thought, cultural differences and can act as the voice of employees
  • Collaborative team player with a strong drive to create a positive John Deere employee experience

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Knowledge and experience using SAP and SuccessFactors/Talent Central tools
  • 1 or more years of experience in providing expertise in employee relations issues including support consultation and guidance on performance and disciplinary issues
  • Knowledge of payroll processes
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciencesor equivalent experience
