Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE:
The primary focus of this position is to operate, maintain, and improve our waste water discharge. This position operates and maintains our waste water equipment to satisfy our Industrial User Permit requirements. This Partner will work closely with the Regulatory Technician, Maintenance TA/TL, and regulatory agencies to maintain and improve waste water equipment and processes. The Partner will work closely with vendors to effectively maintain waste water and to assure proper water chemistry.

Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position. Perform all PCP and CCP checks required for position. Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages and by contacting TA/TL. Be able to identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper operation of the wastewater treatment plant. Record accurate data on required reports.

Maintenance tasks will include troubleshooting, repair, performing preventive maintenance on all related systems in an industrial environment. Identification and implementation of process improvements in the areas of waste water and plant potable water are also responsibilities of this position. Partner will be required to obtain and maintain required Certifications to quality them as a advanced level. Obtain ten points and submit an advanced certification application.

Position will require obtaining the following items after a 2 year period:

1) Two year associate degree in waste water operations

2) 4000 hours of time operating in a WW plant

Experience:

Type:                              General maintenance, troubleshooting, PM, and analytical testing skills

Number of Years:        3 yrs. recent industrial experience and/ or Waste water Treatment.

Other:                              Post HS Certifications/training.

Required Skills:

·         The candidate must be organized and dependable, have demonstrated problem solving ability, and have ability to work effectively within the WB environment as well as with external vendors and/or partners.

·         Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical and electrical repairs to pumps, valves, piping, and controls.

·          Basic waste water chemistry knowledge and previous work with chemical testing and analysis are required.

·         Able to handle multiple tasks effectively.

·         Good organization and prioritization skills.

·         Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle applications is highly desirable.

·         The ability to work well with others as well as working independently.

·         Candidate must be a self-starter with a proven ability to make decisions and affect change with very little direction.
