Job Title: (Senior) Associate, Corporate Transformation Services

Location: Paris

Department: Corporate Transformation Services (CTS)

Our established Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) practice focuses on enterprise wide change to particularly help drive EBITDA improvement. We help our clients navigate complex merger integrations and carve-outs and work for corporations across several industries including Automotive, Manufacturing, Healthcare, IT, FMCG, retail and Energy. Our scope of services includes turnarounds in both consulting and interim management positions in various functions including General Management.

Purpose of the CTS (Senior) Associate role:

We are expanding our CTS practice in Paris and we are looking for a (Senior) Associate to join our rapidly growing team.

As a Senior Associate, you will be working closely with Senior Directors and Managing Directors in a flat team structure. You will likely lead key work streams and benefit from constant exposure to the senior members of the team and client, and gain 'on-the-job' learning and development, leveraging on their substantial experience.

Assignments will cover:


  • Comprehensive bottom-up assessment;


  • Quantified EBITDA / cash improvements;


  • Rapid Results / 100-Day Improvement Plan;


  • Merger integration / Carve-Out.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company's immediate and future cash needs, product profitability, cost base, major operational issues, market position and options for restructuring;


  • Drive quick initial short-term gains in order to release cash to invest in longer transformation targets;


  • Developing and implementing a new operating plan to improve the business operational performance;


  • Develop and implement performance improvement solutions to solve under-performance on both cost and revenue lines;


  • Analyse historical company performance to identify key trends and red flags; including financial metrics (P&L, CFS, BS), operational metrics and analysing heavy data sets using pivot tables;


  • Identify a portfolio of high impact opportunities to improve EBITDA and cash flow across the enterprise, ranging from quick wins to the 'tough calls' that deliver transformational results;


  • Develop and implement comprehensive profitability and working capital improvements to help stabilise financial and operational performance;


  • Identify and quantify opportunities to unlock shareholder value by divesting and/or improving under-performing and non-core business units or assets;


  • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the transformation program and determine how to minimise implementation risks and maximise success.


Requirements for this position:

Essential:


  • Education: graduation from a Tier 1 Business School (e.g. HEC, ESSEC, ESCP) or Engineer School (e.g. Polytechnique, Centrale, Mines) or another highly rated Institution;


  • Either prior consulting experience or relevant operational experience in industry, including process improvement activities required;


  • Excellent financial & business and/or financial modelling skills e.g. can conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into a company's immediate & future cash needs, product profitability, cost base & major operational issues;


  • Must have an ability and willingness to travel (potentially from Day 1) to client sites, across the UK & European regions, at short notice as part of the working week;


  • Fluency to a business level in both verbal and written English & French is essential.


Desirable:


  • MBA, MSc or a relevant financial qualification such as a CA preferredbut not required;


  • Additional industry recognized qualifications around project management or process improvement would be highly valued;


  • Additional European languages are highly desirable;


  • International experience would be highly desirable.
