PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Responsible for prospecting, qualifying and value selling to secure business opportunities. Collaborate with sales and marketing leaders to significantly effect the profitability of the business through strategy development, product availability, marketing opportunities and customer insight.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :


  • Identifies and develops new business prospects from multiple sources such as inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research.
  • Develops pipeline of sales and business opportunity leads through networking, cold calling and referrals.
  • Develops value-based proposals and other content to communicate value, strengthen prospect-relationship and senior-level networks with customers.
  • Collaborates with team to identify opportunities, plan and executive growth strategies.
  • Propose and secure new agreements by contacting the appropriate management and decision makers within the prospect organization and leveraging insight-selling concepts, tools and value-proposition content.
  • Work with field and customer support leadership to meet customer needs, drive compliance to forecasted sales thresholds and clearly communicate and document customer service level expectations, addressing shortfalls as needed.
  • Accountable for CRM (customer relationship management) with retail customers as per defined database and to update and qualify accounts employing a disciplined phone call campaign.
  • Participates in specialized multiple level Product training, Product Application training and Inside Sales Boot Camp training.
  • Follows-up with customers/prospects on past sales contacts with direct mail/email as needed.
  • Documents information gathered and passes it to the appropriate sales manager or sales representative in a very timely manner.
  • Generate sales leads for relationship accounts and target accounts as requested.
  • Present a good image of Gregory Poole Equipment Company to customers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Education :

A four-year degree in marketing, communications or related business with one years of relevant marketing experience or a two-year degree in marketing, communications, or related business with three years relevant industry experience and demonstrated understanding of sales and marketing functions

Work Experience :

One year in general customer service experience with excellent professional and energetic customer service skills and/or a demonstrated outreach background.

Physical :

Must be able to sit for long periods of time;

Other :

Requires a general knowledge of our product line and market environment; Motivation and ambition necessary to work in a self-driven environment with minimal supervision; Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MapPoint; Ability to successfully multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team environment; Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends and travel overnight as needed; Numerical competency to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages etc.
