A Day in the Life:

Are you a CDL Driver who doesn’t want to drive all the time? The Driver/Light Construction position is responsible for the safe delivery and/or return delivery and set up of storage containers and/or mobile office trailers to include periodic repairs, maintenance, and service of modular buildings.

What You’ll Do:


  • Periodic delivery, return delivery, set-up, and dismantling of modular buildings

  • Communicate professionally with customers in regards to logistics of building placement and maintenance items

  • Maintain contact with Operations Manager/Dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions

  • Load supplies and other set-up material

  • Set up and dismantle trailers and containers

  • Delivery and pick up of office trailers and containers

  • Repair, maintenance, cleaning, and service of building assets

  • Daily completion of DOT Hours of Service and/or Mileage Logs on days you drive

  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

  • Physical inspection of mobile office trailers and modular buildings

  • Recommend and perform repairs in order for equipment to meet company standards

  • Maintain and organize inventory of repair and parts supplies

  • Communicate needed supplies and specialty items to management

  • Maintain shipping and receiving files as instructed

  • Maintain the building fleet including painting hitches and trailers, placing new signs on trailers and containers, cleaning units with industrial strength products, and perform minor and major repairs as needed

  • Troubleshoot and accurately identify maintenance problems and solutions

  • Operate service trucks and forklifts when needed to deliver parts or move equipment, and/or when maintenance of units is required

  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and secured

  • Other duties as assigned

Must Haves:


  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Familiarity of required documentation of vehicle and trailer inspections, logs, time cards, etc.

  • Ability to set, level, and/or dismantle modular/mobile buildings using piers, pads, blocks, anchors, etc.

  • Able to pass a DOT physical, or valid exemption set by DOT/DMV regulations if/as required

  • Previous experience working with hand and power tools

  • Working knowledge of at least one or more of the following: electrical systems, carpentry, welding, painting, and plumbing

  • 2+ years of hands-on truck/trailer driving experience

  • Valid CDL (Class A) and proven Class A driving experience

  • Must have the proven ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customer

  • Reasoning Ability

  • Perform work independently with little instruction

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, squat, kneel, lift, and operate machinery

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday - Friday
