Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety

Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook - Doing it Safe
Ensure a work environment which is safe and maintained where our people can safely grow and develop.
Engage and have the team engage in the Safety Observation process
Ensure a preventative maintenance tasks are completed on time and correctly
Ensure all equipment is operating safely
Ensure all maintenance work is being completed in a safe manner
Ensure a clean and organized work space and hold a high standard for the Maintenance team to "leave work areas better than found them"
Continually seek out and remove all forms of risk

People

Provide technical leadership and direction to the maintenance team
Participate in the selection of the best competent people to grow and be part of Crescent
Train - identify, create, and track training for all maintenance people
Ensure training for all other people at Crescent who will interact and or operate the equipment
Assess to ensure the fair and accurate evaluation of each person's performance and potential.
Recognize to ensure each person feels appreciated for the value they provide.
Lead people to encourage maximum performance and dedicatin
Participate in the co-pack team meetings

Productivity

Continually explore the competitive use of technology and capital, providing Crescent and customers with flexibility and improved productivity
Ensure all line setups are done correctly, safely and on time
Ensure all PMs are completed on time
Look for and create continuous improvement ideas
Communicate issues and opportunities to the General Manager

Quality

Ensure all equipment is operating in a manner that produces quality product
Communicate any suspected quality issues to the appropriate person
Participate in root cause analysis on quality issues and be part of corrective action development

Customer Value

Ensure the completion of all required PMs - Crescent and Customer owned equipment
Provide real time support to customer trials, samples and visits.

Financial

Responsible to specify, source and select cost effective equipment, spare parts and services
Responsible to meet or exceed monthly budget targets
