Job Summary:

As A Production Test Technician you will be tasked with the manufacturing and testing of systems and components of small unmanned aerial systems (SUAS). TELEDYNE FLIR is an industry leader in Unmanned Systems and produces its aircraft, hand controllers and associated software in-house. In this position you will be challenged to grow in you technical and organizational abilities while being in a surrounded by an enthusiastic hardworking team. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Assembly of prototypes and final products

  • Inspection and verification of production prototypes

  • Assemble mechanical parts and wire electronic components in accordance to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions/process documents) into sub-units or complete units.

  • Soldering cable connectors and PCB components

  • Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units, including sub-assembly, process assembly, inspection, modifications, upgrades and rework.

  • Maintain safe and efficient practices

  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace Performs work in accordance with quality and engineering standards.

  • Complete any other work-related tasks as directed by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:


  • US Citizen (Export Control/ ITAR/ EAR)

  • Minimum 1-year experience

  • Experience assembling mechanical and electrical components

  • IPC Certification Preferred

  • Technical Training Preferred

  • Experience using hand and measurement tools

  • Experience working with metals, plastics, and composites

  • Experience Preferred in operating handheld power tools & cutting tools

  • Basic ability to solder

  • High school or GED required
