Job Description

At Teledyne FLIR - Gainesville, we design and manufacture high quality drones to carry the best sensors into the toughest environments. Job Summary:

As Production Test Technician you will be tasked with the manufacturing and testing of systems and components of small unmanned aerial systems (SUAS). Teledyne FLIR is an industry leader in Unmanned Systems and produces its aircraft, hand controllers and associated software in-house. In this position you will be challenged to grow in your technical and organizational abilities while being surrounded by an enthusiastic and hardworking team. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assembly of prototypes and final products.


• Inspection and verification of production prototypes.


• Assemble mechanical parts and wire electronic components in accordance to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions/process documents)


• Soldering cable connectors and PCB components.


• Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units, including sub-assembly, process assembly, inspection, modifications, upgrades and rework.


• Perform work in accordance with quality and engineering standards.


• Maintain safe and efficient practices.


• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.


• Complete any other work-related tasks as directed by Supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

• Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.


• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience assembling mechanical and electrical components.


• Experience using hand and measurement tools.


• Experience working with metals, plastics, and composites.


• Experience preferred in operating handheld power tools & cutting tools.


• Basic ability to solder.


• IPC Certification preferred


• Technical training preferred


• High school or GED required.
