Project Administrator (IT)

Intertek is searching for a Project Administrator to join our Global IT team based out of the US. This is a remote position that will be supporting projects for the Solution Architecture group, which provides analysis, recommendations, proposals and support for initiatives and requests for technology solutions across the Intertek landscape. These solution proposals can involve complex analysis of required teams (external and internal), summary project plans, milestones, and cost analysis.

The Project Administrator role is responsible for providing and/or assisting in summary project plan creation, costing & budget analysis, and resourcing planning for assigned projects. The Project Administrator will also coordinate and/or assist in the preparation of these proposals to the Project Assessment Meetings and Project Investment Committee meetings.

The ideal Project Administrator candidate will be independent, self-motivating, and thrive in a fast-paced environment multitasking several priorities and deadlines.

Location: Remote - work from home office

Schedule: Standard business hours, with flexibility to be available for global partners in other time zones as necessary

How you'll make an impact at Intertek:


  • Work with Head of Solution Architecture to prioritize projects requiring assistance and support
  • Work with individual Solution Architects to understand the request, the solution being proposed and to advise on areas of cost, resourcing, timing, and any other dependency considerations
  • Coordinate discussions with Delivery, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, business reps, suppliers, etc. as needed to prepare the analysis and documentation for approval
  • Assist in the determination of capital and ongoing operating costs; Work with IT and Finance on determination of responsible budget and approval
  • Assist in creation of resource plans with the Architects, Resource Coordinators and managers in resourcing project requests
  • Assist in the preparation of packet for presentation to the PAM (Project Assessment Meeting)
  • Assist in the preparation of packet for presentation to the PIC (Project Investment Committee)
  • Assist business and Solution Architecture team with relevant business case analysis
  • Proactively follow-up and communicate with stakeholders

Qualifications

What it takes to be successful in this role:


  • achelor's degree or equivalent knowledge through experience (required)
  • 3+ years of experience in project management and/or project administration (required)
  • Experience working with project portfolio tools (such as MS Project or Tempus) (required)
  • Proven skills in creating/delivering executive-level presentations
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees/managers
  • Working experience in IT industry technology trends, comfortable with technical detail/concepts
  • Strong skills in resource management, project cost and budget creation, and project plan creation (preferred)
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills (Ability to clearly explain and justify proposal and analysis)
  • Very strong Stakeholder Management skills (including, Senior Management, Finance, IT, etc.)
