If you are a SHIFT SUPERVISOR looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our PHARR, TX  location, you will be responsible for following and ensuring compliance with all standard operating procedures and department/site guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable policy, practices, and regulatory requirements (OSHA).  This will include the safety of operations in the workplace through the application and enforcement of safe operating practices, particularly as they apply to the use of power lift trucks and the movement of materials.  AS THE 2ND SHIFT SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL: 


  • Be responsible for the receipt and distribution of a variety of wet/dry vacuums and accessories by following established company protocol.
  • Be responsible for the direction of a workforce in areas which may include the efficient building of loads of finished products, correct receipt and recording of loads of finished material, and accurately recording in-house inventory
  • Be responsible for the direction of the workforce in the safe and efficient use of lift trucks, obtaining correct material for individual store orders, and combining orders on trailers for shipment to a specific location
  • Serve as a communication conduit to employees, clearly and accurately representing management and its philosophies as directed in various areas that may arise
  • Determine actions that cause damage to product and take corrective actions to prevent.  
  • Exercise oversight responsibility for preventing loss or damage to equipment
  • Oversee all warehouse duties related to receiving, shipping, and storage of stock and non-stock items, as well as project support 
  • Participate in the interview and hire process for hourly positions under their supervision.
  • At the end of shift, update productivity reports, confirm scanners are returned to assigned lockers, batteries, charging stations, and communicate any safety issues or equipment repairs needed.

  • Communicate effectively and work in collaboration with other Shift Supervisors and their teams.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Minimum of 1-year previous experience as a Shipper, including handling the operation of a power lift truck; prior Supervisory or Lead experience preferred.  
  • Must complete a power truck training program provided by the company and possess a valid fork truck driver’s license.
  • Ability to work alone or in conjunction with another employee in a team arrangement.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
  • Ability to travel up to 5% for the role.
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English required
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
