Broadwind Heavy Fabrications is all about BIG! At Broadwind Heavy Fabrications we THINK BIG! We work on large scale, heavy weldments for several industries including large scale cranes and wind towers for the energy industry. We currently have an opening for a Production Supervisor in our Manitowoc, WI plant. This role does not open often! We are particularly looking for someone with knowledge and experience in the area of machining and heavy weldments.

The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of the production teams including the working Leads, to ensure we meet customer specifications in terms of both timelines and quality. This is a challenging role, ideal for top supervisory talent.

Some of the responsibilities of this critical role include:

Manage the production teams focusing on quality leadership to reach desired outcomes

Manage resources, schedules and assigned duties focused on meeting objectives
Monitor and control production output using various on-line resources
Support the technical aspect of our industrial coatings team, ensuring we meet customer expectations
Manage staffing needs to maintain production levels

Supervise onboarding and new employee training process for job specific procedures

Insure new hire training plans are set-up and new hire "touch points" are followed

Manage staff performance and productivity

Analyze and resolve production problems; partner with Leads to determine root cause and develop solutions
Manage data and metrics reporting; understand production schedule and system reporting
Provide regular feedback to individuals/leaders; complete evaluations and handle performance concerns as needed; initiate improvement plans if needed or development plans for strong performers

Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities between shifts and individual departments; communicates to ensure consistency between shifts and other locations
Work with Inventory/Supply Chain to be assured needed parts/supplies are available
Work with the Quality team to promote and ensure all individual customer requirements are being met
